This style with European style ear wires has a spring closure which make the earrings secure and comfortable. The Mt. St. Helen's Round shaped stones are 6 mm (1/4") in diameter and the entire jacket is 17 mm (11/16") long. Each stone weighs approximately 7/8 of a Carat.

The beautiful Mount Saint Helen's Obsidian is a stone fused from rock found after the 1980 eruption of the Mount Saint Helen's Volcano in the state of Washington. The pulverized rock is fused under 2700 degrees in a laboratory. It contains chromium, iron and copper which produces the bright emerald color. The other elements are sulphur, chlorine and water. The rock dust used to create the stone came from between 10 and 20 miles below the earth's surface.
